On South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, Griffin & Griffin is a partnership of John T. Griffin and Carrie Griffin that works on the legal side of aging and illness. Most of its clients come from Sarasota, Charlotte and Manatee counties, and it also works with families elsewhere in Florida and in other states.

Its practice includes estate planning, wills and trusts, guardianship, powers of attorney, health care planning, Medicare and Medicaid planning, and long-term care planning. It also covers veterans' benefits, probate, trust administration, special needs planning, elder advocacy and nursing home resident rights.

The firm states that John Griffin is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in elder law, and that Carrie Griffin is licensed in both Florida and New Jersey.
